Shine project- “Women Empowerment”
We planned to choose the vocations with a clear focus on women empowerment. Of the 1.3 billion people who live in absolute poverty around the globe, 70 percent are women. For these women, poverty doesn’t just mean scarcity and want. It means rights denied, opportunities curtailed and voices silenced.
Empowerment is one of the key factors in determining the success of development in the status and position of women in society. We put a special focus on empowering women and girls because we believe they hold the key to long-lasting social change in communities. It is our moral, social, and constitutional responsibility to ensure their progress by providing them with equal rights and opportunities.

SARI LATHA is a homemaker but her dream to earn money and give some financial support to her husband but she is not well Educated. Then she joins ShineNGO and started learning beautician course for free and now she is working as a Beautician at Olena beauty parlor and her income in more than 6000/-

Actions Taken to Empower Women
Vocational Training Centre was initiated in 2014, with an aim to provide skills and confidence to women from economically backward families and help them achieve economic and social independence. Currently, Tailoring training centers are operational in Amberpet zone, maritally, Padanaram, housing board.
A one-month training program is carried out for women from financially constrained families. The selected women beneficiaries can choose to be trained in vocations like Tailoring, Beautician, computer courses like we providing 60 courses. The training is carried out on a daily basis by experienced faculty. After completion of the training, trainees are certified by a recognized government organization.
Impact Created
After completing the course, some of the trainees are able to open small business units at home and earn money and few trainees took up jobs related to stitching, Tailoring faculty, Beauticians. After sessions conducted on health awareness, women are now aware of the importance of hygiene and the health problems related to child marriages. The attendance system, exams, cleaning the classroom by taking turns, and the classroom environment makes the trainees’ lifestyle more disciplined.
